- Iktikaf -
Have went to 4 masjids so far..
Masjid Enaeem
Masjid Istiqamah
Darul Gufran
Masjid Kampung Siglap
Masjid Enaeem
My favourite place..
Since the beginning till now..
Imam is a Hafiz..was trained in Makkah
Al Fadil Sheikh Fahmi Hamdan Ali
Recitation is the best in my opinion..
Imam does 10 rakaat plus witr..
Each rakaat arnd one page long...
No selawat at the end of witr..
Good news for the salaf...
The Qunut is the best...
Makkawi style..haha
Sahur....not too bad..always have soupy stuff though..
Not to my preference actuali..
Overall placing Number 1. =)
Masjid Istiqamah
I stayed in this masjid for onli 2 rakaat...
Cos they have the different types of solat..
Which i dun pratice..
Egs, solat taubat...
Imam is a Hafiz.. i think..
Sounds abit like Ali Jabir from Makkah..
But Masjid Enaeem has a better replica..
I didnt stay for sahur there...
But should have plenty to eat..
Cos arnd 20plus ppl turned up..
So should have much leftovers..
Placing No.4
Darul Gufran
Masjid with the largest crowd among the rest of the masjids..
Imam is a young guy..
With a young voice..Soothing..
Imam is also a Hafiz..( So many Hafiz in Singapore nowadays)
Selawat in between sets of prayers..
Qunut is fairly long..not as long as Enaeem..
They do taubat prayers as well...
Total of 6 rakaat tahjud..2rakaat taubat..plus witr
Sahur is e best among all..
Food is warm when served...
Malay traditional food...I like =)
Overall rating No.2
Masjid Kampung Siglap
I am gettting tired typing now..
But here goes...
Outskirts of town area, Quiet and serene...
Imam is obviously a Hafiz..has to be..cos Darul Quran is there..
Imam sounds like Hudzaify..and abit like Shuraim in his "song"..
But some parts i think he sound abit like me =P
The funny thing about this masjid is..NO WITR??!!!
So no Qunut..which doesnt create the " Cry Factor"
Sahur is also veri nice..
We sit in an aircondition room...
Problem is water point too little..and water insufficient...
Facilities such as toilets are also yet to be done in the masjid..
Overall ranking No.3..
Tats all for now...so next yr..u ppl can decided where to Qiyam Insha Allah..
If we do see Ramadan again..Insha Allah..
Hope it has been informational for u ppl =)

- interesting article -
Came across an interesting article....
Its bout marriage..
Its bout women who are not allowed to marry men whom they want..
But thats provided if the guys are good..
In their religion etc..
In such cases women can appeal to courts to get married..
And it would be sinful upon their guardians not to let them marry..
Here is the link....

~ lAst 10 days ~
- LAst 10 days -
The last 10days of Ramadan is here...
Time pass so fast...
Have we done enough this Ramadan??
Have we felt the fulfillment of this Ramadan??
Or we could have done better in bringing ourself closer to our Lord??
This is the last chance for us..
Oh brothers and sisters...
Let us not waste this great opportunity..
The last 10nights of Ramadan..
Spend them in tears during the nights...
Finish as much of the Quran....
And seek forgiveness by day n by night...
For we will never know if this moment will ever come again..
May Allah grant His mercy upon us..
And let us be among those who are the successful in this world n hereafter..
Amin..Ya Rab Al-A'lamin...

~ Feeling Glad ~
- The Cold Silence -
The cold silence..has been broken...
Bitterness welcomes sweeteness..
While Warmth Overcomes the cold..
A rapid gush seeming from a warm river flow..
Breaks the ice flowing through the veins...
From the centre..
It passes throughout...
With every limb responding to its flow..
And from above...
Where the river flows deep..
It further confirms....
That I am feeling Glad today...
Intimacy is Wrong, not 4 us, we sHldnt..
Keeping e stRong ties betWeen uS..
And tHe ImpOrtance Of hard tryIng..
Still There Is No Give Ups till todAy..
Done bY: Zaki Ng

~ Words of Wisdom ~
Words of Wisdom from the Salaf :
ثلاث يثبتن لك الود في صدر أخيك أن تبدأه بالسلام و توسع له في المجلس و تدعوه بأحب الأسماء إليه
Three things will firmly place love in your brother’s chest (for you):
that you be the first to give (him) Salaams,
that you make a space for him in a seated gathering,
And that you call on him with the best of names.
‘Umar bin al-Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him)

~ what a thought ~
I was talking to Ramdan after solat fajr in e masjid this morning..
I didnt know why i had e feeling..
Of talking bout e kind of gal i reali wanted..
Ramdan Said : According the Hadith there are 4 criterias..
1. Wealth
2. Status
3. Beauty
4. Deen
I pondered...
The reality is..when it comes to wealth and status..
Its hard to judge in todays context...
Beauty..I dun think i have high expectations..
But it is definitely necessary to consider..
Deen...thats most important from my perception..
5 pillars of Islam is a must..
However, i think i need to find someone who also has e passion like i do..
To seek knowledge...continously purify oneself is soo important..
Its so much easier said than done..I do struggle too..
Wanna find someone who is willing to study with me..
And we would remind each other of being on this straight path..
Sometimes being on this path alone can cause fall backs..
But neva fail to return to the path..
If only....

~ 1st day Ramadan ~
All praise to Allah who has made easy today's fasting for me..
Allahumma Lakal Hamd Wa Laka Shukr...
I did what i had planned to do today..
And I thank Allah for making e day easy for me..
However, I simply don't und some ppl who have chosen to avoid me..
And told me that i was the one avoiding him...
Allahumusta'anh
For all i knew i do have my own life too..
But he...
Chose to forgo this friendship jus becos of...
I also dunno wat..
May Allah forgive me if I was in the wrong..
And may Allah guide me to what should be done..
I pray that things can change..
For I too have been thinking alot about our friendship..
I hope he doesnt give up on this friendship jus becos of some minor issues...
I dun wish to make enemies nor forgo any friendships..
Especially not those which i have placed much effort and patience in...
To all special ppl reading this blog..
Forgive me should I sin against any of you...
Or should i have made any of you disappointed or unhappy..
With utmost sincerity i didnt mean to hurt any of you...
I pray that Allah will bless each and everyone of you in this blessed month of Ramadan..
That Allah will help us in acheiving as much good deeds in this month..
Forgive us of all our previous sins..
Increase our Imaan...Steadfast is this deen..
And grant His mercy upon us..
Ameen....

~ Ramadan ~
Ramadan
Ramadan is here..
Arrived so quickly..
And a year has passed..
I am getting older this month..
Praise be to Allaah.
A hadeeth which was narrated by ‘Uthmaan ibn ‘Affaan (may Allaah be pleased with him), and says that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “The best of you is the one who learns the Qur’aan and teaches it.” Narrated by al-Bukhaari (5027).
There is a great deal of encouragement to learn to read Qur’aan, both in the Qur’aan and Sunnah. There is also encouragement to learn how to read. The Holy Qur’aan is the only book that the Muslims read at the beginning of Islam, so learning to read and write started with learning the Holy Qur’aan. Indeed the command to learn to read came with the first word of the Revelation that came to the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him), when Allaah said (interpretation of the meaning):
“Read! In the Name of your Lord Who has created (all that exists).
2. He has created man from a clot (a piece of thick coagulated blood).
3. Read! And your Lord is the Most Generous.
4. Who has taught (the writing) by the pen.
5. He has taught man that which he knew not”
[al-‘Alaq 96:1-5].
Knowledge spread and ignorance decreased as the result of learning to read and write the Qur’aan and understand its meanings. By ISLAM QA
